JAPANDI DESIGN

At Bayou Bathrooms we love the Japandi look and it continues to be a strong trend for 2023. Think Scandinavian design meets Japanese influence. Natural colour tones and textures, slatted wood, clean simple lines with black or chrome brassware.

LIGHT TONES

Move over plain white gloss tiles - light tones give a more natural feel to a bathroom. Use textured creams, taupe or light pink complimented by white oak or pale driftwood.

NATURAL ELEMENTS

Bringing the outside in has long been an interior design trend so the bathroom is a perfect place to do this. Using natural materials and organic features helps to create a sense of calm and relaxation. If you budget can’t stretch to a wooden or copper bathtub use plants and bamboo accessories.

SPA BATH

A spa bath is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. Smooth curved lines provide the ultimate cocoon feel but if you don’t have the space for a freestanding tub consider a back to wall one with wall mounted taps. Centralised on one wall of your bathroom it gives you the same wow factor especially when it is paired with feature tiles.

MIX AND MATCH

Use a strong geometric pattern gradually fading out into a solid colour. This design idea provides lots of interest to your bathroom but avoids the room feeling too busy or overwhelming. It also provides a premium feel without additional cost.

CREATE SOME THEATRE

If you prefer to have contrasting walls instead of using paint to add colour use a strong dark tile on one wall. Tiles don’t get marked and scuffed like paint will in bathrooms and it also creates a premium look.
